Day 15: Stormy weather on the way to Barak NC/ Paran

We started the day in the Spice Road Khan which is a great place for hikers to stay. We had to say goodbye to Christian who has to go home as planned in advance. Before we left we took a last selfie with the Kamels.

After a short hike we arrived the old nabbatean city Moa which lies directly at the old Spice Road. Moa used to be a Caravanserei in the past.

Most of the time we were hiking in the Nahal Ashosh. The desert has a lot of blossom this year, even green structures like lawns are there - just amazing. This high amount of rain also stands symbolicly for spiritual blessing.
Around noon when we started planning our lunch break the weather changed suddenly. The heaven became dark and foresigns of the forecasted heavy storm were showing up. It started to rain, strong winds were blowing but we had no choice we had to go on. Four young Israelis we met strongly recommended us to speed up and to leave the Canyon as soon as possible to be safe from flash floods. We pushed hard to reach Barak NC as soon as possible. Rotem our host from the Rotem hostel in Paran also was searching for us to get us into safety as soon as possible. Finally we made it and met Rotem. He took as to our hostel, which is a wonderful place full of creativity, plants, herbs and tastefully interieur. Ruben prepared some wonderful vegeterian Pasta for us and we enjoyed life after a highspeed 23km hike.
