Day 12:Hiking in the Ramon Crater

We decided to have the delicious and rich breakfast in the hotel. So we packed and enjoyed the luxus of the early meal. At approximately 8 am we left Mizpe Ramon, a rather moderate hike before us,

First we had to climb down to the Ramon Crater, the looks were spectacular. The Ramon Crater is the biggest Crater we hike with dimensions of 40km to 10km. The weather was also nice and not to hot, On the Shvil we met some Shvilists, like Acram a Druse from Naharijah who serves in the IDF. We had a nice chat and he explained us something about the druse people and their religion. Acram was a very friendly and relaxed person.

The highlights of the day were the two mountains we had to climb, very demanding but worth it. The first was Shin Ramon, an approximately 700m high mountain. Directly on top of the mountain we had a nice and long lunch break. We met other hikers there.
We already arrived at 4 p.m. in Gevanim Night Camp, which also can easily be reached with a standard car from Street 40. We set up our tents, cooked our dinner rice and sauces and enjoyed the meal and the fellowship. Simon made a bon fire and we sat together, sang worship songs and read the book to the Romans chapter 9 and 10 to learn more about how God deals with the Jews in the new covenant.
It was a mild night and full moon and we went to bed to get new energy for the next day.
