My friend Annika has just sent me the link to the new interview:

I enjoyed a quiet relaxing Shabbat. After breakfast and bible reading I visited the small town of Lehawim with a population of around 6000, 12 km north of Beersheva, one of its three satellite towns. Most of the inhabitants commute to Beersheva for work. There are a lot of detached homes surrounded by palm trees and garden.

Miriam, Avis mother |
This is Miriam, Avis Mother, born in 1938 in Sfax in Tunesia. She showed me pictures of their house. In 1967 they had to leave and first went to Paris, but made Aliyah shortly after that. Miriam cooked delicious food for us on Friday and Saturday.
For the afternoon we had special plans: Avi got tickets for a football match of Hapoel Beersheva against Bnei Yehuda from Tel Aviv. We went to the Turner-Stadium, located on the northern side of Beersheva. It is a small and compact stadium with a capacity of 16126 seats. The atmosphere was great and Beersheva won 2:1. After the match Avi showed me around to some nice spots in the darkness. As it was the end of Shabbat the shopping mall opened again. There we had some ice-cream.
