Day2: A great day on the way to Massada

We had a wonderful evening in Kfar Hanokdim with a buffet dinner. Outside a thunderstorm with strong wind and rain was going on. It was a big blessing that we decided to stay there, because in the Tzfira Night Camp we would have had no protection against the elements.

We had a great second day, I made nearly 200 pictures and I could have posted all of them.

We started hiking for 3km to the North before we reached Tzfira NC. Here we had to turn and hiked along the Nahal Tze'elim (Canyon). It is on of the largest streams in the Judean desert. It extends for 33km and originates west of Arad and flows into the dead sea. Today we could'nt hike trough it, because of flood warnings.
We had spectacular views and later Simon commissioned his drone and took spectacular videos and pictures. Some pictures I will show you later on, the videos which are outstanding have to wait until our evening event on the Shvil.

We reached the outlook to the dead sea and the Jordanian mountains and Massada, just outstanding.

We met a lot of pupils mostly girls. I had short chats to a lot of them, this was really nice.
In the afternoon we reached the West side of Massada. We could stay there overnight. We set up our tents, had a great dinner cooked with our gas cookers and enjoyed the evening under the 1000 star hotel at the dead sea.
